As the fate of the Brave Cross universe hangs in the balance, heroes can call on the stars of the 4 ancient mythological beasts  to aid them in their quest. There is only one goal: to get stronger in order to crush the advances of the enemy.
- Hero Destiny unlocks when a hero reaches 5 Stars. Your main hero is excluded from this feature.

Emeron (Final DMG) increases the maximum DMG a hero can inflict with basic attacks, Talents and Awakenings. It is a %-bonus that comes into play after all other DMG factors (i.e. DEF, PEN, buffs, debuffs) have been calculated. Its bonus is finally mitigated by the opponent's Genbu (Final DMG Reduction) LVL.
- Emeron is recommended for heroes without CRIT rate bonuses and who depend on single-target or AOE DPS. E.g. Lucence, Frostbow.
Byakkus (CRIT DMG) increases the final CRIT DMG a hero can inflict with basic attacks and Awakenings. It is a %-bonus that comes into play on a successful CRIT and in addition to whatever CRIT DMG bonuses as a result of Talents or Awakenings that a hero has.
- Byakkus is recommended for heroes with innate CRIT rate and/or CRIT DMG bonuses. E.g. Sohee, Dynast.
Genbu (Final DMG Reduction) decreases the maximum DMG a hero receives from basic attacks, Talents and Awakenings. It is a %-bonus that comes into play after all other DMG factors (i.e. DEF, PEN, buffs, debuffs) have been calculated.
Vermillion (Anti-CC) decreases the rate at which a hero can be interrupted, stunned, frozen, silenced, slowed, rage reduced and most Control effects. It is a %-bonus that comes into play throughout an instance or battle.
- Vermillion is somewhat recommended for Control-based heroes or heroes whose Awakenings require channeling. E.g. Luna, Soulgrip. However, it should be noted that these heroes could possibly benefit more from higher DPS and higher DMG reduction rates.
The Hero Destiny system is based on the Four Symbols (Chinese: 四象; pinyin: Sì Xiàng), which are four mythological creatures in the Chinese constellations. They are the Azure Dragon (Chinese: 青龙; pinyin: Qīng Lóng), of the East, the Vermilion Bird (Chinese: 朱雀; pinyin: Zhū Què) of the South, the White Tiger (Chinese: 白虎; pinyin: Baí Hǔ) of the West, and the Black Turtle (Chinese: 玄武; pinyin: Xuán Wū) of the North.
Each one of them represents a cardinal direction and a season, and each has its own individual characteristics and origins. Symbolically and as part of spiritual and religious belief, they have culturally importance in China, Korea, Vietnam, and Japan.
